While in Ireland earlier this month, I went to the first Galway OpenCoffee Club and had a blast. I met, among others, Aidan Finn, John Breslin, Ina O’Murchu, and James Cooley. Jan Blanchard and Conor Wade of TouristR drove all the way from Limerick for it, and gave me an awesome T-shirt to boot! Looks like Galway has a great tech scene — I hope its OpenCoffee thrives in the coming year.

Me, on Roundstone Pier

Yours truly, modeling my new TouristR shirt in Roundstone, Co. Galway.

I haven’t written a vacation recap yet, though most of the photos are up: mine, Erin’s.

  1. It was great to meet you. Hope you had a good time in Ireland, despite the miserable weather. It looks like your presence and positive energy kick started the OpenCoffee scene in Galway! Talking with you also reinforced our beliefs that we should go for more "light Blogging" style on TouristR. Thanks for that (we're working on it). Hopefully next time we'll meet will be under the Californian Sun!
