None of the design industry leaders I have worked with consider interactive accessibility in their design process. They don’t know the technical constraints nor interfaces. How can they?
This links to my anti-JS stance, because recreating a select menu accessibly is very code intensive work. I would use a <select> instead of a custom one for an image to be in <option> any day.
Design for not just people with normal vision and mobility, not just for the rich with the best device and internet.
