is the 25th Transgender Day of Remembrance. We set TDoR aside each year to remember all the trans people lost to murder or suicide in the preceding 12 months. 426 trans people (that we know of) were taken from us this year.

Four hundred twenty six people, killed in many different ways: Over 100 were shot & over 70 stabbed. Others were beaten to death, strangled, suffocated, or stoned. Some were pushed down stairs, others hanged. Folk were drowned, dismembered, decapitated. Some were tortured to death, or set on fire and left to die. And far too many were pushed to suicide by a world that doesn’t care to let us live.

Today, we remember those we lost & rededicate ourselves to fight like hell for the living. 🕯
