World trade leaders met in Seattle today amidst a flurry of protests from environmentalists, activists and other groups of people who shower infrequently. Protesters fear that foreign laborers will take away American jobs. And they may well be right, since shortly after being arrested the American protesters were replaced by cheaper, harder-working Asian protesters. At one point, the protesters stormed a McDonald’s, claiming the chain serves genetically altered beef. McDonald’s denied this emphatically, insisting their burgers contain no beef at all.
