Data loss
So, Clarence basically hosed over a week ago. Win2K decided that it would explode, and since it was going down, it thought to take everybody else out with it. But I simply didn’t have the time to spare to fix it, so I’ve been using it in its crippled state since.
The net effect of this is that I’ve been listening to the Ramones a whole lot more than usual. Now, normally, the causal chain from Win2K blowing up to a shift in Winamp playlist isn’t exactly clear, but it all makes perfect sense. You see, among the approx. 15 GB of data loss that I’ve suffered in the last week were about 9 GB of MP3’s; a large chunk of my CD collection (ripped using CDXTRACT 3, of course). And it just so happens that the Ramones figure heavily in the portion that survived.
Gabba gabba We accept you We accept you One of us! Gabba gabba We accept you We accept you One of us!
I’m reminded of the Pinheads’ cameo appearances in the Clerk’s animated series.
