San Diego Irregular Sports Association

OK, so here's the idea.

Do you remember when you were a kid, and you'd go outside with friends and random sports equipment, run around, make up rules, and have a really good time?

Right, it's good stuff.

I was thinking on Saturday that it would be cool to be more active, and how much fun that sort of thing was.

And then it hit me: with this here Internet thing, I now have access to the rules of lots of random strange sports from around the world, like Belgian danball, Goalball, Rounders, Takraw, Handball, and Tchoukball, just to name a few.

So I'd like to do something similar to [info]tone_milazzo's Game Night, but with random sports. The idea is that, every Sunday or so, a group of people get together at the beach or a field or something, and play two fun-sounding games. Things that we mostly know like Ultimate and football are fine, but it's also an opportunity to learn a bunch of random, potentially really fun games. It's also the standard opportunity for social networking etc. etc.

What do you think? Are you interested? Gene's in.
