On unconferencing and snark jumping
I'm with Chris1 and Doc Searls on the Mashup Camp snark coming from Chris2 and Ryan.
Just like Java dragged lots of C++ programmers about halfway to Lisp, Mashup Camp dragged a lot of tech-conference traditionalis{m,ts} about halfway to Bar Camp. Why aren't you happy?
Alicia made a similar point, that Mashup Camp is itself a mashup of the traditional tech conference and the unconference.
Personally, I think whining that the incrementalist mainstream has only partially adopted your radical idea(s) is seeing the glass as half-empty; it's much better to realize how awesome it is that you've had such a positive impact on the way things are done.
