Google’s jusst released code search, which allows you to search publicly available source code. How cool is that?

I wonder what sort of affect this will have on hiring practices in the software industry. It’s already S.O.P. to Google people you’re interviewing; I wonder how soon people will be regularly searching for people’s claimed F/OSS contributions?

For example, here are the results for "Theresa O’Connor". It pretty much shows what everyone already knows: I’m an Emacs geek.
