Visible Metadata
My new blog backend stores
pretty much everything in Atom Entry
Documents.
While implementing the new backend, I’ve defined several custom link
relations (listed here) and
two three category
schemes
(control
, moods
, and tags
).
Though nothing in RFC
4287 requires atom:link/@rel
or
atom:category/@scheme
to be dereferenceable, I
strongly believe that metadata
ought to be visible, so I’ve posted explanations to
each of the metadata URLs.
That way, curious individuals reading my feed source can find
out what these things are all about.
So that’s why random, spec-like bits of text occasionally show up in my feed. Sorry for the noise!
