Avout Halloween

It’s that time—another is upon us. In 2006, I went as Chief Tyrol from BSG, then last year I dressed as the 10th Doctor.

This year, I apparently decided to keep with the geek/scifi theme, but get more obscure. I’ve gone as Fraa Erasmas of the Concent of Saunt Edhar, from Neal Stephenson’s Anathem. I emulated bolt, chord, and sphere with one of these cowls and the Mathmos Color Bubble, and if I do say so myself, it came out rather well:

Erin, of course, completely outdid me, by sewing and knitting her own costume. Behold the Queen of Awesomeness:

We started off the holiday almost a week early at Barb’s Halloween party, then followed it up the next day with the pub quiz at Shakespeare. On the day itself, we enjoyed Lindsay’s housewarming party, beer auction, and pub crawl—Lisa’s pub crawl photos are pretty awesome.

Anyway, good times.
