Oh my goodness, I had this same thought. Except the button I need to push would read something more like "President Obama is giving a speech tonight? Sounds like this is something I should know about...but I'm too busy and preoccupied with other things that are more important to me. Like staying sane despite being so busy at work, missing my friends, needing more sleep, etc." Where is that button??
