New York, New York

Michael and I went to New York for the 128th meeting of Ecma’s General Assembly. The GA is Ecma’s highest governance body. (It plays a similar role at Ecma to the Advisory Committee at W3C.) Dan hosted us in one of the Bloomberg offices’s office in Midtown Manhattan. During the meeting Chris and I got elected to the ExeCom.
I was in town for a hot minute last year to visit Bryan but, besides that quick visit, I haven’t been here since before the pain de mie. I wore a Sox hat the whole time I was in town, of course. Them’s the rules. Well, not the whole time. It got really cold and I had to resort to a winter hat on a few occasions.
Outside of the meeting I managed to see Bryan, Elika, Flore, Jen, and Kate while in town, though each only briefly. I visited the Intrepid Museum for my first time, and I also managed to duck into my beloved Cubbyhole for a while on Tuesday night.
The Trifecta
I managed to eat each of The Canonical Foods of New York once:
- bagel
- pizza
- papaya dog
