Eryn, Jessica, Marisa, and I took Amtrak’s Capitol Corridor up to Sacramento on Saturday.

The California State Capitol during the day and at night.

We were there to see the take on the at Sutter Health Park, home of the Triple-A River Cats of the PCL. We went for the novelty of seeing a major league game in a minor league ballpark, but I’m sad it involved giving John Fisher money. Fuck that guy. (I wore a Ballers hat, natch.)

The game was more exciting than it had any right to be. The A’s substantially out-hit the Phillies, but stranded an outrageous number of runners on base. The Phillies may be hot right now, but this was not so much a case of them winning as it was of the A’s losing.
