Sell the team, John
Eryn, Jessica, Marisa, and I took Amtrak’s Capitol Corridor up to Sacramento on Saturday.


We were there to see the Phillies take on the A’s at Sutter Health Park, home of the Triple-A River Cats of the PCL. We went for the novelty of seeing a major league game in a minor league ballpark, but I’m sad it involved giving John Fisher money. Fuck that guy. (I wore a Ballers hat, natch.)

The game was more exciting than it had any right to be. The A’s substantially out-hit the Phillies, but stranded an outrageous number of runners on base. The Phillies may be hot right now, but this was not so much a case of them winning as it was of the A’s losing.
