W3C’s Advisory Committee (the AC) meets twice a year. we met in the city of Hangzhou in China. The AB also met so, between the two meetings, I was there all week.
There are no direct flights from San Francisco to Hangzhou (HGH), so I flew to Shanghai, took the maglev into town, and caught the Shanghai–Hangzhou high-speed railway to Hangzhou. The future is already here—it’s just not evenly distributed.
This was my second time visiting China—my first time back in over a decade. I was last in the country in 2013, when I went to Hong Kong and Shenzhen for TPAC.
