杭州
W3C’s Advisory Committee (the AC) and Advisory Board (the AB) met in the Chinese city of Hangzhou. I sit on both, so I was there all week.
There are no direct flights from San Francisco to Hangzhou, so I flew to Shanghai, took the maglev into town, and caught the high-speed train to Hangzhou. The future is already here—it’s just not evenly distributed.
This was my second time visiting China. I last visited in 2013, when I went to Hong Kong for TPAC.
The meetings were held at Huajiashan Guest House (杭州花家山庄) near West Lake (西湖).

This was 五十嵐さん’s last AB meeting. I miss him already!
This was my first time flying on China Eastern.
