HTML Day 2026

is HTML Day, an annual celebration of HTML going 4 years <strong>. Here in San Francisco, our HTML Day meetup was at Robin Williams Meadow in Golden Gate Park. Eryn, EJ, and biked there & back. We Stopped by Say Cheese on our way there for sandwiches and snacks.

After a little bit of confusion we found several blanketfulls of friendly markup nerds. There were over 25 people there to celebrate HTML! EJ was the youngest, and I the oldest. I wore my 5 > 2 shirt, of course.

Someone passed around a tiny flipbook into which we were all encouraged to write about some feature of HTML. I wrote about <isindex> (RIP).

Many, many thanks to Alicia Guo, Spencer Chang, Ivan Zhao, Leia Chang, and tiat for organizing!
