A surprise night in New York
@annevk @fantasai Oh sure, I can bring the small keychron I have!
@fantasai @LeaVerou hyphens-are-the-best
@tabatkins @TerribleMia @fantasai quite literally, the very best.
@fantasai The web would benefit even more, in the long run, if you & tab ceased being a single (double?) point of failure. More mentoring of up-and-coming editors and less direct editing yourselves. Might help with burnout too. That would be worth the up-front cost of slowing things down.
@fantasai I earnestly believe that you and Tab should edit fewer specs and make fewer changes to the specs you keep editing. If other people in the WG fail to step up, that's a problem for the chairs to figure out.
@fantasai @annevk C. fantasai should keep her workload the same, but change the balance of spec writing and test writing? (Assuming your “quadruple” is accurate, this option results in you making many fewer spec edits than before.)
@fantasai several emails form you are in the yet-to-read pile :/
@dauwhe @robinberjon @fantasai @rachelnabors Entirely in Comic Sans MS, I hope!
@robinberjon @fantasai @rachelnabors I would read it!
The highlight of my day was getting to see @fantasai in person again. ☺️

@MiriSuzanne @rachelandrew @wendy_a_reid @fantasai @LeaVerou @jensimmons @philarcher1 @Morchickit @ildalatam @hivos @anabmap @mikorulez @SilvanavF @w3c @gs1 @rhiaro @AmeliasBrain @csswg Yes, indeed.

@tabatkins @fantasai @frivoal @dauwhe Which was a long-winded way of saying I’m still upset we failed to get consensus on Baby Steps as a design principle in the HTML WG all those many years ago.
@tabatkins @fantasai @frivoal @dauwhe which is why I push back so much on white/blue attempts to vigorously add many features quickly or to fix some long-standing/well-established rough spots—where they might see a valiant effort to defend the web from black, I see them destroying the thing they say they want to save
@tabatkins @fantasai @frivoal @dauwhe red/green ends via green/blue means: the web is great because of its generative / red-enabling nature, which came about primarily as the result of a (green) confluence of happy accidents and is very complex / fragile (the web as environment & we are stewards of it)
@tabatkins @fantasai @frivoal @dauwhe I’m green/red with a splash of blue.
@fantasai @w3c maybe @obiwankimberly or someone she knows?
@fantasai @annevk if public archives are available, import the archive mbox into your mail client & reply from there. that's what I do for @whatwg and @w3c lists I'm not on.

@jensimmons @dauwhe @fantasai @rachelandrew @frivoal @davidbaron @Litherum @gregwhitworth @junglecode That kind of thing was definitely in mind at the time.
@fantasai I’m not using cis as a shorthand. I am trying to reach cis people who follow me on twitter. I am comfortable with my wording.
@fantasai learned, but 12-year-old me wasn’t cis either. I’m not sure where you’re going with this.
@fantasai I have only ever had to correct cis people about this.
@fantasai In my experience they need this advice more often than others, but YMMV of course.
@fantasai @tabatkins @bz_moz this.
@smfr @tabatkins @fantasai Almost, but then I had to go back for a second FPWD. There were too many fundamental changes.
@tabatkins time to mass-assign everything to you and @fantasai! :/
@fantasai yeah, agreed. https://t.co/2XfydIMUhH

@sgalineau @tabatkins @fantasai in source order, it should be "SOLVED BY FLEXBOX", but it should appear as "FLEXBOX BY SOLVED". :)
@fantasai @davidbaron I don’t want to think about map’s embedded in Mongolian.
San Francisco, the only city in which three @csswg members will run into each other at a bar, swing dancing. cc @fantasai @t @kirinqueen
@tabatkins @fantasai NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cc @sgalineau
@fantasai how many times will we change the property names before PR? :)
@fantasai I've never met a WebKit developer who didn't care about implementation quality.
@fantasai to the extent that that ever works, it only works in groups chartered to make synchronous decisions.
@fantasai Did you file a bug report?
@fantasai that's an unusual way to attempt mental R&R.
@fantasai indeed.
@stubbornella we need more editors. That's what it boils down to. cc @fantasai
@fantasai well, we all need to. Also, we need to clone you and @tabatkins several times each. cc @stubbornella
RT @fantasai: Any time you use "must" in a spec, there's an implied "or else". Stop and make sure that "else" is defined somewhere.
@shepazu how am I missing this? cc @fantasai @davidbaron
RT @fantasai: @tabatkins I suggest finishing your other specs first. ^_^
@fantasai @glazou personally, I'm all for publishing Selectors 4 FPWD regardless of where Selectors 3 manages to be.
Unexpected @fantasai sighting!
