なつ甲子園こうしえん

This year’s Summer Koshien kicked off while we were in Hawaiʻi. We took advantage of the smaller time difference and watched a bunch of games while we were there. (People outside of Japan can live stream every game for free.) Since getting back, we watched two of the quarter final matches, both of which were exciting pitcher duels (1, 2). I’m rooting for 関東Kantō第一Daiichi in the final round tonight.

This year’s tournament is particularly special because it’s Koshien Stadium’s 100th anniversary. All of the tournament’s games are played there. It’s the oldest NPB stadium, and the home of my Hanshin Tigers.
