夏の甲子園

I only managed to catch one 夏(なつ)の甲子園(こうしえん) (Summer Koshien) match this year—the final, between 高崎健康福祉大学高崎高等学校(Takasaki University High School) in 群馬県(Gunma pref.) and 智辯学園(Chiben Gakuen) in 和歌山県(Wakayama pref.). The game was on my birthday, in Japan anyway—it was the evening before in California. The back half of the game was wild! It really could have gone either way.
