Years in review: 2021–2022–2023
In roughly chronological order, 2022 included the following:
- I broke my toe in January.
- I became a manager in February & got myself a little something to mark the occasion.
- My Paddy's Day party resumed after a two-year hiatus.
- I played in a TTRPG for the first time in years when Dan ran a campaign of Star Trek Adventures. Surprising precisely nobody, I got thrown in the brig.
- I went to the WindUp Watch Fair for the first time.
- I passed a kidney stone without any painkillers. I hope to never do that again.
- Eryn and I traveled to London and Greece over the summer and had a lovely time.
- I hired Anne, Karl, and Marcos.
- My baby finished preschool and started kindergarten.
- TPAC was back in person this year, in Vancouver. I gave a talk (slides) to the AC about the Ethical Web Principles document.
- In October, Eryn and I vacationed in New England with a group of her friends from high school. I took Eryn home to meet my family.
- Eryn and I got COVID in November.
- I ran for re-election to the TAG.
- Elon totally fucked up Twitter, so I imported my tweets here & stopped posting there.
- EJ and I went home for both Thanksgiving and Christmas this year—Thanksgiving was also my mom's 80th birthday.
