@neumarcx @danbri @blaine @w3c @cwilso @jyasskin @drummondreed Is there, though? (Room for discretion) Like, if I publicly characterized something I myself said in Member space, that would clearly be okay, but this was not that.

@alextcone @johnwilander My definitions remove ambiguity when articulating facts. They don’t change facts. They can’t, because no definitions can.
@alextcone @johnwilander When a page in the AMP cache is the top-level document, it’s loaded from https://t.co/CeNpiyX05c. I don’t see how any definitions can change that. Only Google can change that, by choosing to re-architect AMP.
@alextcone @johnwilander Which is what @johnwilander is calling out.
@alextcone @johnwilander AMP is case A, same origin and same site, in that email you linked to.
@alextcone @johnwilander My party definitions? The whole point of the post was that we shouldn’t use the terms first-/third-party because they’re ambiguous.
@alextcone @johnwilander That email you link to is entirely consistent with what @johnwilander said.

@jyasskin @gsnedders @marionpdaly @AutomatedTester @johnwilander Folks trying to uphold the web’s basic safety model by pushing back on Fugu features that threaten it also “think the web needs to keep improving.” “They just, want to improve it while preserving the properties of the web that make it such a uniquely generative platform.
@mc2hampion It was always great working with you. Congratulations! Enjoy yourself!
If you’ve worked in either @wicg_ or @whatwg before, we hope things will feel familiar and comfortable. And if you’ve never participated in web standards work before, we aim to be a gentle, welcoming space where you can help improve privacy on the web.
Anyone can join & make a proposal! Proposals get worked on in a lightweight incubation process like the @wicg_. When a proposal is ready and has interest from multiple implementers, it may move on to the spec stage, for which we use an efficient, @whatwg inspired process.
